BIOGRAPHY

The young mezzosoprano Alice Marini at the age of nine began piano lessons at the C.I.M. in Verona under the guidance of M° Franco Bignotto at first and later under Professor Maria Cristina Rigoni who prepared her for the entrance examination to the Conservatory F. E. Dall’Abaco in Verona.
In 1999 she passed the entrance exam and joined the pianoforte class of Professor Sabrina Reale who prepared her for the Master of Music Degree.
Following this, she gave up her piano studies to dedicate herself to her great passion – opera singing.
During the opera season at the Arena in 2003, she undertook an eight-week training period with Opera Company “Verona Arena” under M° Fabio Fapanni.
In 2004 she obtained top marks in the Maturità Magistrale at the High School of Social Sciences “C. Montanari” in Verona.
In this period she also spent several study trips in France.
In September 2004 she began to attend the Law Faculty at the University of Trento but in 2008 she decided to dedicate herself entirely to the study of opera singing under the soprano Daniela Longhi thanks to whom, as a private student in the same year, she took the Master of Music Degree at the Conservatory of Verona and she obtained, on July 2011, the Bachelor in Voice and Opera always at the Verona Conservatory F.E.Dall’Abaco and won the applause of the committee as the Outstanding Graduate of the year in the singing classes.

Artistic Performances

In October and December 2018, Alice Marini has made her debut in "Cinderella" by G.Rossini at the Verdi Theatre in Padua. Conduction by Antonello Allemandi.

In July and August 2017, Alice Marini was Kate Pinkerton in Puccini's "Madama Butterfly" at the Verona Arena. Conductor: Jader Bignamini. Director: Franco Zeffirelli.

In July 2017, Alice Marini was Giovanna in Verdi's "Rigoletto" at the Verona Arena. Conductor: Julian Kovatchev. Director: Ivo Guerrra.

In May 2017, Alice Marini was Maddalena and Modestina in Rossini's "Il Viaggio A Reims" at the Philharmoni Theatre in Verona. Conductor: Omassini Director: Maestrini.

In November 2016, Alice Marini was in the cast of the Opera Gala sponsored by Arena Foundation in Bari (Italy).

In October 2016, Alice Marini has made her debut in "The Magic Flute" by W.A.Mozart at the Verdi Theatre in Padua. Conduction by M. G.Betta and Direction by Bortolani at the Teatro Sociale in Rovigo (Italy).

In October 2016, Alice Marini was in the cast of the Gala entitled "A Bel Canto Night" at the Albert Hall in Brussels, sponsored by Unicredit Bank and promoted by Arena of Verona.

In July and August 2016, Alice Marini was Mercedes in Bizet's "Carmen" at the Arena in Verona.

In March 2016, Alice Marini has made her debut in the role of Giovanna in "Rigoletto" by G.Verdi at the Philharmonic Theatre in Verona (Italy) under the conduction of  M. Fabrizio Maria Carminati and the direction of Arnaud Bernard.
In March 2016, Alice Marini has made her debut in the role of Miss Baggott in "The Little Sweep" by B.Britten at the "Luciano Pavarotti" theatre in Modena (Italy) under the conduction of M. Seghedoni and the direction of Stefano Monti.
In December 2015, Alice Marini was Flora in Verdi's "La Traviata" at the Verdi Theatre in Padua (Italy), under the conduction of M. Strausser and the direction of Paolo Giani.
In November 2015, at the Italian Embassy in Berlin, Alice Marini was in the cast of the Opera Gala "A touch of Opera" accompanied on the piano by M. Fabio Fapanni. The event was sponsored by Arena di Verona for Unicredit Bank and HypoVereins Bank.
In October 2015, Alice Marini has made her debut as Flora in Verdi's "La Traviata" alongside the famous soprano Elena Mosuc, at the Teatru Tal Opra Aurora (Malta Island) and under the conduction of M. Colin Attard supported by Malta Philharmonic Orchestra.
In August and September 2015, Alice Marini has made her debut in the role of Bertha in "Barber of Seville" by Rossini, under the conduction of M. Giacomo Sagripanti and the direction of Hugo De Ana at the Arena in Verona.
In August and September 2015, Alice Marini has made her debut in the role of Gertrude in "Romeo and Juliet" by Gounod, under the conduction of M. Daniel Oren and the directection of Francesco Micheli at the Arena in Verona.
In August and September 2015, Alice Marini has made her debut in the role of High Priestess in "Aida" by Giuseppe Verdi, under the conduction of M. Daniel Oren and directed by Franco Zeffirelli at the Arena in Verona.
In July 2015, Alice Marini was Mercedes in "Carmen Gala Concert" at the Arena in Verona under the conduction of M.Omer Meir Wellber.
In July 2015, she was starring of the concert entitled "Invitation to Opera" at the Palace of Gran Guardia in Verona promoted by the Fondazione Arena di Verona and sponsored by Unicredit Bank, accompanied on piano by M.Fabio Fapanni.
In May 2015, Alice Marini sang the "Requiem" by G. Verdi in the spectacular setting of the Church of Sant 'Antonio Abate in Milan.
In March, 2015, Alice Marini was "Candelas" in "El Amor Brujo" by De Falla under the conduction of M. Jader Bignamini at the Verona Philharmonic Theatre in Verona.
In January and February 2015, Alice Marini was “Annina” in Verdi’s “La Traviata” at the Verona Philharmonic Theatre under the conduction of M.Marco Boemi and the direction of Henning Brockaus. 
In November 2014, Alice Marini was in the cast of “The Merry Widow” by F. Léhar at the Verdi Theatre in Salerno (Italy) under the conduction of M.Daniel Oren and the direction of Vittorio Sgarbi.
In August and September 2014, Alice Marini has made her debut as “Kate Pinkerton” in Madama Butterfly by G. Puccini at the Arena of Verona under the conduction of M.Marco Armiliato and the direction of Franco Zeffirelli.
In July and Agoust 2014, Alice Marini has made her debut as “Mercedes” in Carmen by G. Bizet at the Arena of Verona, before under the conduction of M. Julian Kovatchev and later under the conduction of M. Henrik Nánási and with the direction of Franco Zeffirelli.
In July 2014, Alice Marini has made her debut in “Placido Domingo’s Gala” at the Arena of Verona under the conduction of M.Daniel Oren.
In June 2014,  Alice Marini has made her debut in Verdi’s “Requiem Mass” at Milan’s Duomo Cathedral in memory of the Archbishop of Milan Carlo Maria Martini.
In April 2014, Alice Marini was the guest of "Verona Lirica" at the Verona Philharmonic Theatre during the operatic concert dedicated to the famous soprano Alida Ferrarini, accompanied on the piano by M. Patrizia Quarta.
In March 2014, she was “Praskowia” in the "Merry Widow" by F. Lehár at Verona Philharmonic Theatre, conducted by  M. Roberto Gianola and the direction of Gino Landi.
In January 2014, she made her debut in “La Damoiselle Élue” by C. Debussy, at Verona Philharmonic Theatre, conducted by M. Rengim Gökmen.
In September 2013, she was “Carmen, Flora, Maddalena and Annina” conducted by M. Fabio Mastrangelo at the Arena of Verona for the show “Opera On Ice” that will be broadcast worldwide by Mediaset during the Christmas holidays.
In July and August 2013, she made her debut, at the Arena of Verona, in the role of Annina in “La Traviata” by G. Verdi conducted by M. Andrea Battistoni and under the direction of Hugo De Ana.
In June 2013, she was Mercedes in Carmen by G. Bizet at the "Opera Gala "Tribute to Maestro Luciano Pavarotti" at the Arena di Verona, conducted by Antonella Clerici and broadcast on Rai Uno in Eurovision. 
In May 2013, she was starring, along the tenor Cristian Ricci, at the Dogana Veneta of Lazise (VR) for the Promotional Concert of the Opera Season of the Arena of Verona ,accompanied on piano by Maestro Fabio Fapanni.
In March 2013, she starred in the Concert of Sacred Music and she debuted the Stabat Mater by G.B. Pergolesi at the Church of St. Mary Magdalene in Verona, accompanied by the Maffei Quartet and with M. Marcello Rossi at the Organ.
In February 2013, she won again the Chorus Artists Competition, at the Arena of Verona for Summer Season 2013, a role she has subsequently refused for the debut as a soloist always at the Arena of Verona, in "Traviata" by G. Verdi as "Annina" for the summer opera season 2013.
In November 2012, she participated, as a musical guest, at the TV broadcast worldwide by Telepace entitled "The Agora Consensus" conducted by Mons. Bruno Fasani, performing songs from sacred repertoire.
In May 2012, she was hired at the Arena of Verona as Artist of the Choir for the 2012 opera season.
In April 2012, she performed at the Concert for voice and organo entitled “Music for the soul” broadcast nationally by Telepace from the church Maria Stella dell’ Evangelizzazione in Verona.
In August 2011, she was solo voice in the concert entitled “Our Hymn of Grateful Praise” which closed the series “Art and Faith” Sunday concerts held in the precious setting of the Church of S. Fermo Maggiore in Verona promoted by the Arts Officer of the diocese of Verona with the Parish of San Fermo Maggiore, the Office of Sacred Art and the Diocesan Museum, accompanied on the pianoforte by the internationally acclaimed twins Laura e Beatrice Puiu world representatives of the prestigious pianoforte company of Hamburg and New York “Steinway & Sons”.
In August 2011, she was a guest at the XXIV Season of the traditional Operatic Concert in Corbiolo (Vr), singing opera arias by Donizetti, directed by M. Armando Tasso and assisted by Francesco Ernani (Manager of Bologna City Theatre). 
In August 2011, she made her debut at Rivergaro (PC) in Rigoletto by G. Verdi where she played the role of Maddalena under the direction of M. Roberto Gianola again with the Sinfolario Orchestra and received both critical and public applause.
In July 2011, she made her debut at Piacenza in the Cavalleria Rusticana in the roles of Mamma Lucia and Lola under the direction of M. Claudio Morbo and the Sinfolario Orchestra of Lecco.
In June 2011, she was awarded the Bachelor in Voice and Opera at the Verona Conservatory F. E. Dall’Abaco and won the applause of the committee as the Outstanding Graduate of the year in the singing classes.
In April 2011, she performed airs by F. Liszt at the Chamber Music Concert with the Philharmonic Academy at the Sala Maffeiana in Verona.
In April 2011, she was winner of the Audition for the role of Maddalena (Verdi’s Rigoletto), Mamma Lucia and Lola (Mascagni’s Cavalleria Rusticana) on the occasion of the Piacenza operatic season.
In April 2011, she was solo performer in the Concert of Sacred Music singing extracts from
G. Rossini at the Church of S. Fermo Maggiore in Verona.
In March 2011, she performed with Chamber Arias by O. Respighi at the Palace of Gran Guardia in Verona.
In December 2010, she sang pieces from the Sacred American Repertoire during the Concert of Sacred Music held at the Church of S. Giovanni in Valle in Verona.
In the same month she performed pieces by Pergolesi and Hadyn during the Concert of Sacred Music held at the Church of The Sacred Heart in Domegliara in the presence of the Bishop Flavio Roberto Carraro.
In September 2010, on the thirtieth anniversary of the death of the tenor Giuseppe Lugo she performed in the concert “Magnificent Tenor – the life of Giuseppe Lugo”, singing the role of Azucena (Verdi’s Trovatore) and Maddalena (Verdi’s Rigoletto) with Director Carlo Saletti and under the direction of M. David Jackson.
The event took place in the splendid setting of Custoza (VR) and was broadcast  nationally by Telepace.
In May 2010, she was soloist in the Leider Concert with music by R. Schumann and Liszt which was held with the co-operation of the Philharmonic Academy of Verona at the Sala Maffeiana (Vr).
In April 2010, she sang the role of Miss Baggot in “The Little Sweep” by Benjamin Britten again at the Teatro Nuovo in Verona.
In May 2009, she was soloist in “Futurist Night”, a one-act musical farse based on a text by Francesco Balilla Pratella, a show presented on the occasion of the centenary of the “Futurist Manifesto” of Filippo Tommaso Marinetti in co-operation with the Arena Foundation of Verona at the Teatro Nuovo in Verona.
In April 2009, she performed in “La Passione Secondo le Cose” (Sacred Performance of works by the poetess Carla Collesei Billi) singing extracts from the Stabat Mater of G.B. Pergolesi, G. Rossini and F.J. Hadyn at the Church of S. Fermo Maggiore in Verona.
In March 2009, she was in the cast of the Chamber Music Concert at the Palace of Gran Guardia in Verona singing arias by  G. Rossini, G. Paisiello, R. Hahn.
